How this VPS panel uses and protects account information.
Information we use
We process your name, email address, account role, authentication credentials, service configuration, assigned network addresses, security and activity logs, and support-related service actions to provide and secure your VPS service.
Why we use it
Account and service data is necessary to perform the hosting contract. Authentication, anti-abuse, access and audit data is used to protect the service and our legitimate security interests. Information required by law may be retained for the applicable statutory period.
Cookies and device storage
The panel uses one strictly necessary first-party session cookie for authentication and security. Theme and console-display preferences are stored locally on your device. There are no advertising or analytics cookies in this panel.
Sharing and processors
Paymenter exchanges the minimum account and service identifiers needed for provisioning and single sign-on. Gravatar images are requested through a server-side cache so your browser address is not disclosed to Gravatar. Support and infrastructure providers may process data only where needed to operate the service.
Retention
Interactive notifications are retained for 90 days. Panel security and activity records are normally retained for 180 days, unless an incident, dispute, active service, or legal obligation requires longer retention. Expired sessions and one-time sign-in tokens are removed automatically.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or erasure where applicable. Use the export and erasure tools in Profile settings, or contact Tropical Hosting support. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
